L\'uso dei questionari

  • Versione Italiana: Per valutare al meglio e in modo più completo un paziente affetto da sordità, nel nostro caso da sordità monolaterale, ci avvaliamo di diversi strumenti, uno di questi può essere l’utilizzo di questionari. Il questionario è un insieme strutturato di domande corredato da possibili risposte, ed è uno strumento fondamentale per raccogliere dati e informazioni che non emergono o non posso essere misurati con gli esami strumentali. Come per esempio la qualità della vita e la valutazione del grado dell’acufene. Nelle sordità monolaterali, i questionari che possono essere utilizzati vengono suddivisi in due categorie, ovvero quelli che valutano la disabilità uditiva e quelli sulla qualità di vita. La disabilità uditiva viene valutata dai seguenti questionari: ssq (“the speech”, “spatial and qualities of hearing scale”), “spatial hearing questionnaire”, “hearing handicap inventory for adults” e “tinnitus handicap inventory”. Mentre la qualità di vita viene valutata mediante il “glasgow benefit inventory”, “glasgow health status inventory” e lo “short form-36”. I questionari sopracitati vengono utilizzati nella pratica clinica con lo scopo di migliorare la riabilitazione e le aspettative del paziente. È necessario quindi somministrarli ogni qualvolta che il paziente giunge in valutazione.

    English Version: To evaluate a patient affected by single side deafness in an accurate and complete way, we can use different tools, such as the use of questionnaires. The questionnaire is a structured set of questions complete with possible answers and it is a key tool for collecting data and information which don't emerge or they cannot be estimated with instrumental exams, such as life quality and tinnitus. In single side deafness, there are two categories of these questionnaires: Evaluation questionnaires for hearing impairment: SSQ (the speech,spatial and qualities of hearing scale), spatial hearing questionnaire, hearing handicap inventory for adults and tinnitus handicap inventory and life quality questionnaires: glasgow benefit inventory, glasgow health status inventory and short form-36. All these questionnaires mentioned above are used in our clinical practice to improve patient's rehabilitation and expectations. It is therefore necessary to submit the questionnaires each time the patient is evaluated.
