  • Versione Italiana: La procedura chirurgica di impianto cocleare consiste nell’alloggiamento stabile del ricevitore-stimolatore a livello della squama del temporale e nell’inserzione atraumatica di un multi-elettrodo stimolatore nella scala timpanica della coclea. Nel corso degli anni si sono avvicendate diverse tecniche chirurgiche progressivamente meno invasive e che si sono adattate alla nuova forma degli impianti e dell'array degli elettrodi.

    English Version: The cochlear implant surgical procedure consists in the housing of receiver stimulator in the temporal bone and in the atraumatic insertion of a multi electrode array in the scala tympani. In the last years, the surgical techniques progressively become less invasive and they adapted to the new CI and multi electrodes array shapes.
